The MSc in Bioprocessing (online) postgraduate course explores the fundamental science behind bioprocessing, ranging from molecular biology to downstream processing in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals.

The course will equip students with the latest research advances including data analytics, predictive modelling and new methods to manufacture protein products beyond conventional bacterial and cell culture-based methods. 

The course is available full-time and spans over a period of one year. 

Advanced Engineering Materials (MSc)

This programme is designed to produce Masters graduates who have an in-depth knowledge of instrumentation involved in Materials analysis and characterisation together with a detailed knowledge of Materials Science, Materials Processing, and Surface Technology. 

The specialist modules will allow students to become fully briefed in the material science and engineering associated with high strength materials used in the aero-industry, or with techniques for materials and coatings selection design, together with the materials selection methods typically employed by engineering consultants.

This is a full-time course that spans over a one year period.

Health Informatics (MSc)

This postgraduate course equips graduates with the skills, knowledge and abilities to evaluate the opportunities and limitations of health care technology and its impact on improving the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, safety and quality of health care delivery. 

Students take cognizance of the social, legal, ethical and technical issues of this fields, and ensure compliance with the standards and regulations governing systems in this domain. 

The course spans over a one year period and is taught full-time.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (MSc)

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the most exciting areas in computer science and engineering. 

AI and Machine Learning (ML) address the challenge of creating machines having the capability to learn, adapt and exhibit intelligence. 

Students will learn how AI research is revolutionising our lives and leading us to a world with self-driving cars, automated trading on stock markets, AI-assisted surgery, AI-controlled power grids, smartphones that can recognize objects / faces / speech, search engines that can translate languages, video games that exhibit responsive, adaptive and intelligent behavior.

The course spans over a one year period and is taught full-time.

Chemical Engineering (Graduate Diploma)

This is a course specifically designed for the graduates who have obtained a primary degree in a science or engineering discipline (other than Chemical Engineering), and wish to develop a career in the process or pharmaceutical industries.

Software Engineering (MSc)

The MSc in Software Engineering includes the application of specialised knowledge and skills to develop different kinds of large, complex software systems. 

The programme also provides the opportunity to specialise in data analytics, extracting knowledge from large data sets. There is continuous demand for software engineers and data analysts both internationally and nationally.

Biomolecular Science MSc (Online)

The MSc in Biomolecular Science will provide advanced knowledge in an area which underpins the Life Sciences and Biotechnology sectors. The course will focus on topics in molecular and cell biology and the impact of cellular dysfunctions in disease.  

The course will also encompass analysis of complex biological data (data analytics), advanced characterisation techniques, regulatory affairs and biophysics.
