McDaniel College believes that educating students for their own enrichment allows them to think critically, creatively, and humanely. With careful mentoring and attention to the individual, McDaniel changes lives.

McDaniel College was founded in 1967 and is one of the first coeducational colleges in the United States. This means it is the first college where females and males get to be taught together rather than separately. The college's campus is located in the beautifully restored, turn-of-the-century school building in Budapest city.

McDaniel's aim is to provide an academic and social environment that promotes liberal learning, which will enable men and women to act critically, creatively, and humanely.

By liberal, this means students get educated for their own personal enrichment with the teaching of values. This form of education will enable students to also take charge of their lives and develop their unique potential with reason, imagination, and human concern.

They will take their place in the global community, understanding their responsibilities to aid individuals and contribute to the larger society.

In the classrooms, in the residence halls, in the laboratories, on the playing fields, and in the lounges, McDaniel College works to provide solid and respected programs for committed students.

The college offers a number of dynamic majors including:

  • Business Administration and Economics
  • Political Science and International Studies
  • Communication
  • Psychology
  • Art History
  • Studio Art

With almost 20 nationalities represented among the student body, you not only make friends from around the globe but also gain valuable insight into different cultures.

Understanding these subtle differences that exist around the world will better equip students to get ahead in today’s multicultural work environment, and fit into the international community. It will also lead to deeper cultural experiences and enlightenment.

Liverpool as a city is known for its rich history in culture, sport and the Beetles. However, the city is also home to the Liverpool John Moores University, which aims to shape individuals to have a positive impact on the communities they occupy.

Since Covid-19 and the digital age have influenced a greater need for digital adaptation, students may want to consider universities that have been able to adjust to these newer forms of learning. The University of East London is one such university, that has a long history in education but is willing to adopt a personalised, flexible learning format to suit its students’ current needs.
