Scholarships can provide financial assistance and recognition for academic achievements or specific criteria. The University of Law offers a range of undergraduate scholarships for eligible students. Let's take a closer look at some of the scholarships available:

Career Changer Scholarship:

Available for all undergraduate degrees except apprenticeship programs. A total of 12 full-fee scholarships are offered, and the remaining successful applicants will receive partial scholarships.

Eligibility criteria include having received an offer for one of the undergraduate degrees, demonstrating previous work experience, transferable skills, and motivation for a career change. Applications are made through an online form.

Set for Success Scholarship:

Available for all undergraduate degrees except apprenticeship programs. A total of 24 awards of £2,000 each are available for Business, Criminology, Law, and Policing courses starting in September 2023. 

There are two full fee awards are available for all undergraduate degrees, excluding apprenticeship programs.

Eligibility criteria include having received an offer for one of the undergraduate degrees, achieving the highest score in the online assessment, and having a minimum of AAB at A Level (or equivalent). 

Applications can be made through the scholarships link in the offer letter, and the final academic results will be added to the application.

Lawyer 2B Scholarship

Available for all undergraduate Law courses (LLBs), excluding apprenticeship programs.
One full fee award is offered in partnership with Lawyer 2B for undergraduate law degrees starting in September 2023.

Eligibility criteria include having received an offer for one of the undergraduate law degrees, meeting the Widening Participation criteria, achieving the highest score in the online assessment, and having a minimum of BBB at A Level (or equivalent).

Applications can be made through the scholarships link in the offer letter, and shortlisted candidates may be asked to submit an essay for review by Lawyer 2B.

The Sherryl Kintu Scholarship

Available for all undergraduate degrees excluding apprenticeship programs. This scholarship was established in memory of Sherryl Kintu, a dedicated employee of Global University Systems, who was passionate about supporting Black women's entrepreneurial spirit and creativity in the arts.

The scholarship provides a full-fee award for a student starting their course in September 2023. Eligibility criteria include having received an offer for one of the undergraduate courses, meeting the Widening Participation criteria, achieving the highest score in the online assessment, and demonstrating passion, drive, and business/entrepreneurial acumen through the personal statement in the course application.

The University of Law Undergraduate Bursary

Available for all undergraduate degrees except apprenticeship programs. This bursary is intended to provide additional financial support to new full-time undergraduates who have a household income of "zero" as calculated by the National Student Finance service.

The award amount is £1,000 per academic year of the course (except during any year-long work placement), depending on the household income remaining at zero in the subsequent academic years.

Eligibility criteria include having received an offer for one of the undergraduate degrees, not already holding an undergraduate degree, being a resident in the United Kingdom, and having your household income assessed as zero by your national Student Finance service.

There is no separate application for this bursary. Students need to apply for Student Finance through their respective national Student Finance services and provide consent for the assessment of their household income.

These are just a few examples of the scholarships available at the University of Law. It is also worth noting that the university’s scholarship is set up in a way that enables students to submit one scholarship in order to be considered for all relevant awards.
