The University of Buckingham is a non-profit private university in Buckingham, England and the oldest of the country's five private universities.
The institution offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, such Master’s degrees, including MSc, MA, MBA and LLM courses, that can lead to many career opportunities.
With the university's two-year model, students can complete both their undergraduate and Master’s degree in just three years; saving time and money.
Also available is a number of other postgraduate taught courses, including short courses, postgraduate certificates, graduate diplomas and courses in Education.
Taught courses have a similar amount of contact (teaching) time as an undergraduate degree, made up of a range of modules that are delivered through lectures, seminars and tutorials, and will enable students to develop a higher level of expertise.
Postgraduate courses are open to all graduates with an undergraduate degree or, in some cases, an equivalent level of work experience.
If you've already completed an undergraduate qualification and are looking to extend your studies by doing a postgraduate course, here is a list of a few of the 80 postgraduate courses on offer at the University of Buckingham that you can apply for:
Education

This is the largest Masters course in the university that is open to students from all round the world.
This course provides students with the opportunity to follow their own interests while being given clear guidance about the requirements of a serious level 7 academic qualification.

The MSc Health Psychology programme is designed to allow students to develop knowledge and skills across all of the main areas of health psychology to postgraduate level.
A wide-range of topics is covered, from advanced research methods to a working and evidence-based knowledge of health psychology approaches, theories, models and interventions.

The varied mix of backgrounds and interests that students bring to the course, the experience and commitment of the programme director and the friendly small-group setting allow a lively, enjoyable and intellectually rigorous exchange of ideas.
Graduates have gone on to publish their own books, and to win prizes. Some have embarked on further research for the PhD in Biography.
Unlike most Life Writing degrees, this course is not linked to Creative Writing, and there is a strong emphasis on research and historical biography. The programme is consistently rated ‘excellent’ by external examiners and inspectors.
Accounting and Finance
The MSc Accounting and Finance programme is designed for students who wish to extend their skills and understanding to an advanced level and enhance their careers opportunities at international accounting and finance level.
The course consists of a rigorous and intellectually demanding study of the ‘core’ disciplines of, Financial Reporting and Analysis, Financial Analysis and Portfolio Modelling, Auditing, Derivatives and Financial Risk Management, Economic Analysis, Empirical Techniques in Finance and a dissertation.
The dissertation, which forms a substantial part of the assessment of the degree, will allow you to develop your interests in either mainstream or wider business and societal aspects of Accounting and Finance.
Students can also consider a range of research courses, spanning Master’s, PhD and professional doctorates. Postgraduate research degrees are based around independent learning, working one-on-one with a supervisor (so have a lot less contact time than taught courses), and are more specialised.
