The University of Law (ULaw) has a great scope of law qualifications for prospective law students. However, the university also offers postgraduate qualifications beyond just law, making non-law qualifications available for students to take their picks from.

Boasting 40 different postgraduate qualifications for law alone, ULaw provides ample selection for the prospective law student. Still however, they have even more qualification options for students to choose from in business, psychology and education.

Business

The university offers the following postgraduate business qualifications:

  • Master of Sciences (MSc) Corporate Governance and Ethics - this is a one-year course dedicated to the teaching and analysing of business practices and ethical business decision-making
  • MSc Innovation and Entrepreneurship - this is a one-year (full-time) course dedicated to the interrogation of the function of entrepreneurship in different parts of organisation as well as how to tap into market opportunities
  • MSc Corporate Governance with Company Law - this is a one-year (full-time) course dedicated to teaching concepts related to corporate governance and company law, and posing ethical and legal dilemmas that a company may face
  • MSc Human Rights with Employment Law - this is a one-year (full-time) course dedicated to covering the aspects of law required within a human resources profession
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Leadership - this is an 18-month programme which is offered to full-time business executives looking to expand their skills, leadership abilities, and so on
  • MSc Corporate Financial Management - this is a one-year programme designed for students who wish to deal with business finances as a career
  • MSc Cyber Security and Data Governance - this is a one-year (or 18-months with work placement) course dedicated to analysing cyber security concepts and how they have been implemented within businesses, as well as equipping students with the resources to further advance efforts in cyber security in the business space
  • MSc Cyber Security Management - this is a one-year course dedicated to equipping business students with necessary information regarding cyber security, as well as information on how current cyber security and data matters can be further enhanced
  • MSc Business Analytics - this is a one-year (full-time) course dedicated to allowing students to hone their skills in business analytics, technologies, data management, and so on
  • MSc Investment and Trading -  this is a one-year (full-time) course dedicated to teaching students about marketing analysis, trading, and investment fundamentals
  • MSc Marketing -  this is a one-year (full-time) course dedicated to teaching students about how to identify market developments and trends, and offering a foundation in marketing concepts and channels
  • MSc Leadership and Human Resource Management - this is a programme that offers students the ability to hone their skills related to human resource management in a business setting. The skills they will be developing include leadership skills, people (employee) communication skills, and so on
  • MSc Project Management -  this is a one-year (or 18-months with work placement) course dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of project management
  • MSc Strategic Business Management - this course offers teaching in the essential qualities and concepts related to strategic business

Psychology

The university offers the following postgraduate psychology qualification:

  • MSc Psychology (Conversion) - this course is designed for graduates of a non-psychology degree. It serves as an introduction to the essentials of psychology. Once the student has completed this qualification, they will have free rein to pursue further studies in psychology

Education

The university offers the following postgraduate education qualifications:

  • Master of Arts (MA) in Education - this is an online, part-time course catered towards students who are already working in teaching, and it serves as a course that will aid students in their teaching expertise and allow them the opportunity to pursue teaching at a more senior level. Alternatively, students can also choose to complete the one-year Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) or two-year Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education (PGDipHE)
  • MA Higher Education Administration, Management and Leadership - this is a course that covers a range of teaching and assessment methods, as well as how to possibly incorporate different technologies and materials within the teaching process. Alternatively, this course can be taken as a one-year Postgraduate Certificate, or a two-year Postgraduate Diploma

These are all the postgraduate degrees available at ULaw that are not directly considered law degrees, but some of which could still accompany a law degree in the professional world.
