The acronym, EPIC, refers to Educational Program Innovations Center, and its training efforts in the fields of technology and engineering have been transferred to over 70 000 professionals in their pursuit of skills development.
Operating in Canada, the main goal of its training is to prepare industry professionals based in the country for the changing pace of the world, which continues to have a significant impact on technology and engineering.
The training can be engaged for individual advancement or can be organised for groups of staff. For instance, individual professionals are welcome to enrol in the training programme, and often do so in attempts to pursue career advancement, prepare for an exam to acquire professional status in Canada, or earn a certificate or licensure to practice in the country.
On the other hand, entire departments or faculties can also be enrolled for the programme. For instance, supervisors may want staff to engage in group skill advancement courses in order to keep them up with continued developments in the engineering industry during the modern age.
Additionally, professionals are granted the opportunity to enrol in distance-learning programmes as well, which will allow them the flexibility to work their continued education around their professional responsibilities.
Completing a course with EPIC training also offers the possibility to earn Continuing Education Units (CEU), which, according to the programme, can be converted into Professional Development Hours (PDH).
These PDHs would allow the enrolled professional the necessary credits to maintain their professional licensure, certification, or even tenure, ensuring that they still exhibit competency within their role.
Available courses are divided between training courses, technical exam prep courses, group training courses and partner courses.

Courses can range between 1-30+ hours along the different disciplines and can be conducted on an online or in-person basis depending on the programme selected.
The technical exam preparation courses cater more specifically to trained engineering professionals from abroad who have migrated to Canada to become Professional Practising Engineers.
Completion of the Confirmatory and Technical exams allow the enrolled professionals to attain their engineering licences by Canadian standards, and to keep up-to-date with engineering and technological advancements within the country.
Furthermore, between each discipline, there are sub-sectioned, specific courses to be studied, creating a course pool of over 130 courses to be chosen from.
