Whether you are considering applying to study toward your first undergraduate degree or looking to advance your existing qualification at the University of Buckingham, the university currently has two options for prospective students to submit their applications according to their official website.
Students can either apply through UCAS or directly through the university’s online application form.
Applying through UCAS
As one of the available methods to submit your application at the institution, applying through UCAS can enable students to apply at up to five universities or courses in one place. University of Buckingham’s UCAS code is B90.
The first step of this application process is registering with UCAS in their UCAS Hub . The process involves completing their registration questions, confirming the year you want to begin your studies, your preferred course programme and your level of study.
This will then direct you to your UCAS Hub dashboard where you will then see a title called “Your application”. You can then click on ‘Start’ to start your application.
Make sure to provide your first and middle names on your application exactly as they appear on official documents like your passport, birth certificate, or driver's licence. Fill out the first name and last name fields on the application using your only name if you have one.
Some of the key things to note when completing your details include the following:
- You must complete all mandatory questions and you can’t skip any sections.
- Ensure that your e-mail address is up to to date
- Have all available details about your residency status. If you are not a UK citizen, you will have to visit the UKCISA website for more detailed information regarding this section.
- Note that there are questions specifically intended for UK students. These are about your ethnic origin, national identity, and occupational background. These are mandatory questions used for monitoring purposes.
- Be prepared to provide information about your personal circumstances and how you intend to fund your studies.
- You also have the option to give a parent, guardian, or adviser nominated access to completing the application on your behalf.
For the remaining parts of this application process, you will have to provide information about your education and employment history. You will then have to select your course options, which will only be a maximum of five courses.
Following this, you will then be required to write a personal statement, fortunately, UCAS provide detailed instructions on how to write your undergraduate personal statement.
You will then have to get a reference, pay your application fee, and send your application to UCAS via e-mail. It is recommended that you edit and review your application before submitting it.
Applying Directly to the university
Another viable alternative is to apply directly through the university’s website by clicking on the “apply now’ tab of the university’s course page. This option does not have an application and enables students to apply at any time of the year.

Applicants are also encouraged to contact the university’s admissions office via e-mail for assistance in guiding them through their direct application process. They are usually available from Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 (UK time).
