In its years of activity, ULaw is one of the younger institutions of Higher learning, only having earned its official University title in 2012, after 50 years of activity as a college.
Despite this fact, the university has cultivated a broad selection of postgraduate qualifications in Law, first and foremost, as well as Business, Psychology and Education.
Law
The university offers the following postgraduate law qualifications:
- Legal Practice Course (LPC) - this course prepares students to become qualified solicitors
- Bar Practice Course (BPC) - this course offers vocational training for students looking to become barristers
- Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) Conversion - this course acts as a foundation for non-law graduates to be able to enter into certain solicitor and barrister courses
- Master of Arts in Law (MA Law) SQE1 - this is a Masters level course offered to non-law graduates who look to become solicitors. The course offers preparation for the first Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE1). Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to study towards the SQE2
- MA Law (Conversion) - this course is also for non-law graduates who would like to attain a general Masters degree in law. Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to study towards solicitorship or barristership
- SQE Law Essentials Online - this short online course is designed for graduates of a non-law qualification to learn basic law essentials and progress towards studying for SQE1
- Masters of Law (LLM) Legal Practice (SQE1 and SQE2) - this course offers students a Masters qualification towards solicitorship
- SQE1 Preparation Course - this course is made to prepare students for SQE1
- SQE1 Preparation for Legal Professionals - this is an online course for those who are working in law full-time and would like to study towards solicitorship. The course prepares the students for SQE1
- SQE2 Preparation Course - designed for students who have already completed their SQE1 , this course helps students prepare for SQE2
- SQE1 Exam Preparation Course - this is a short preparation course offering students the opportunity to revise for SQE1
- SQE2 Exam Preparation Course - this is a short preparation course offering students the opportunity to revise for SQE2
- LLM Banking and Debt Finance - a course designed to focus on the study of Banking and Debt Finance
- LLM Company Law - a course designed to focus on the study of Company Law in practice
- LLM Corporate Governance - a course designed to focus on the study of Corporate Governance in practice
- LLM Corporate Governance GradCG - a course designed to focus on the study of Corporate Governance in practice. This qualification is officially recognised by the Chartered Governance Institute UK and Ireland (CGI)
- LLM Public International Law - a course designed to focus on the dissection of international laws that authorise the way in which the public is to function
- Executive LLM - this is a part-time course offered to those already working in fields to law, designed to enhance their knowledge, skills, leadership qualities and so on
- LLM International Arbitration - a course designed to focus on the study of International Arbitration
- LLM International Business Law - a course designed to focus on the study of International Business Law
- LLM Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability - a course designed to focus on the interrogation of corporate social responsibility from all facets
- LLM International Corporate Governance - a course designed to focus on the study of International Corporate Governance
- LLM International Human Rights Law - a course designed to focus on the study of Human Rights Law
- LLM Master of Law (International) - this course offers the student flexibility, allowing them more time to pick their law specialisation within the international sphere as they their studies
- LLM Master of Laws General - this course offers the opportunity to study general law, making module selection much for flexible for students
- LLM Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution - a course designed to focus on the study of Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution
- LLM Medical Law and Ethics - a course designed to focus on the study of Medical Law and Ethics
- LLM Mental Health Law - a course designed to focus on the study of Mental Health Law
- Master of Science (MSc) Legal Technology - this course offers students the opportunity to study towards a Masters with a foundation in studying the effects of technology on legal practice
- Postgraduate Diploma/Certificate in Legal Technology - offers a diploma or a certificate to students who wish to study Legal Technology without the completion of a Masters degree
- LLM Compliance and Regulation - a course designed to focus on the study of Compliance and Regulation for a career in either field
